Samantha Yanks, Editor in Chief of Niche Media’s Hamptons magazine, Editor at Large of Gotham Magazine and Executive Fashion Director of Niche Media’s 11 title portfolio including Aspen Peak, Austin Way, Boston Common, Capitol File, Gotham, Hamptons, Los Angeles Confidential, Michigan Avenue, Ocean Drive, Philadelphia Style, and Vegas is an extraordinary talent in the publishing business with over 15 years’ experience in the fashion, lifestyle and publishing fields. As Editor in Chief, Yanks is responsible for overseeing the editorial content and securing and managing the magazines’ high-profile contributors and covers. She generates content that focuses on New York and Hamptons-based personalities, establishments and the best that the city has to offer in the worlds of beauty, business, travel, culture and dining, entertainment, fashion, interior design, and real estate.

As a fashion and interiors tastemaker Yanks launched SPYLUXE in 2013 at which is a lens into her curated world of food, fashion and interior finds. The content (tagged #spyluxe) attracts both aspirational and targeted consumers. A consumer’s first attraction is the name SPYLUXE as it speaks to luxury and to SPYing exclusive, hidden treasures. Luxury is not always simply the most expensive option, it is what is desired and coveted and SPYLUXE curates that for a discerning audience.

Prior to her current position, Yanks was Fashion & Accessories Director for Niche Media where she scoured the country for fashion in every city filling her pages in with the hottest trends around. Prior to her position at Niche Media, Yanks was Senior Accessories Editor at O, The Oprah Magazine as Senior Accessories Editor, where she oversaw the department and assisted Oprah Winfrey in compiling her monthly “O List”. Before that, Yanks nurtured and honed her talents at Vogue Magazine in the Fashion and Accessories department where her career quickly blossomed from Associate Accessories Editor to Accessories Editor in her five years at the magazine.

Yanks is also a prominent an on-air expert on numerous television segments discussing fashion, beauty and lifestyle. She has appeared on NBC’s “The Today Show” and “Nightly News”, Bloomberg, New York Live, Fox’s “Good Day New York”, E!, CBS’ “The Couch”, HDNet, the Martha Stewart and Howard Stern shows on SiriusXM Satellite Radio. Yanks is also a weekly contributor for NBC’s “Weekend Today” show with “The Scoop with Samantha” and is part of New York Fashion Week American Express Skybox Series.

Yanks was honored by the UJA Federation in 2012 as a “Woman of Influence” and in 2013 as a “40 Under 40” to watch. She sits on the Board of Directors for Literacy Partners, on the committee for Stephen D. Hasenfeld Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at NYU Langone Medical Center, and active with Fashion Targets Breast Cancer and Love Heals.
Samantha Yanks graduated from Tulane University with a Bachelors degree. Today she lives in Greenwich Village with her husband and daughter.
