White Hart

White Hart

New England is filled with many a lovely bed and breakfast. White Hart, a charming 16-room inn in Salisbury, CT.has recently been restored and on its walls hang works from local artists such as Jasper Johns and Frank Stella who donated pieces for the common spaces. British chef Annie Wayte’s restaurant opens this February with a daily-changing menu filled with seasonal ingredients sourced from the nearby farms. www.whitehartinn.com

Polo Bar

Polo Bar

Fashion’s new canteen has hit New York. The long-awaited Polo Bar from classic American designer Ralph Lauren has opened its doors. After attending a VIP preview opening I have three words, designed to perfection. The wood paneled walls, tartan throw pillows and Polo emblazoned dishes are perfectly turned out. The menu filled with American classics such as steak and fries and cheeseburgers is super satisfying. They also know their customer, i.e. the fashion set, so light salads and all vegetable options abound.

Richard Mishaan is an interior designer extraordinaire and his new shop on University Place in New York City has just expanded to display more of his wares. My latest obsession are his signature ceramics from chargers to vases. On my wish list at the moment are pieces from his trio deco collection. They have just the right amount of #spyluxe glam. www.homerdesign.com

Farrow & Ball

Farrow & Ball

I am honored to have been asked to be one of Farrow & Ball’s design tastemakers for their #CityPalette campaign. The craftsmen at Farrow & Ball produce the very best British paints and wallpapers bar none. I was asked to tell the story of the Hamptons through color, what a brilliant idea! I captured the areas natural blue tones of the sky and the water which, for me, are the true essence of summer. Their bespoke paints and papers capture the nuances with colors such as Cook’s Blue and papers such as Closet Stripe. And look, they took them and created this quirky piece of art with my selects (I love the lighthouse and windmill, both iconic visuals of the Hamptons). This certainly is a #spyluxe project and so too is Farrow & Ball’s newly launched blog, The Chromologist. www.thechromologist.com
