There are very few objects in the world that can be described as the best of the best, or simply bigger than the rest. The clearest diamond, the finest tailored suit, the fastest sportscar, the largest yacht. Well, New York recently hosted one of the above when Roman Abramovich’s Eclipse was moored on the west side in the Hudson River. This ship has the honor of currently being the largest yacht in the world, a distinction that required it to be moored in one of the cruise ship slips at the piers. This is no ordinary cruiser as you can see from the unique lifeboat and various garage doors for all its tenders – truly a #Spyluxe specimen.

Vintage Cars

Hamptonites love vintage cars. I think my favorite aspect is that they’re not locked up in garages. Winding streets and endless roads to wander on all the way out to Montauk make the East End prime time for classic car sales. Dean Silvera owner of Aventura Motors is the guy to go to. The selection of cars is excellent and his body shop that he does repairs in is top notch. He specializes in Mercedes, Porsches and Jaguars from the 50′s and 60′s. The best part is that he’s always there and in the summer so too is his adorable daughter Sedona. She answers the phones. I used to “work” in my dad’s stores on Madison Avenue when I was a child so it’s especially sweet for me to see this.
